Glarner Tüechli – Woven from the Finest Cashmere Wool

Every child in Switzerland knows the Glarner Tüechli, a small cotton scarf adorned with exotic motifs. The paisley pattern was brought to the Glarus region by sailors in the 18th and 19th centuries. There, specialist designers adapted the complex patterns to European tastes, turning them into a global export hit.

In the "leCashmere" collection, leFoulard reimagines the classic paisley pattern using the finest cashmere to create a reversible, triangular scarf. The NM 2/48 cashmere yarn used is of a particularly high quality, giving the scarves their soft texture and durability.

The wool is sourced from organically raised cashmere goats and spun into the finest yarn in Italy. The triangles are knitted by a family-run factory in Apolda, Thuringia, and the hems are carefully chain-stitched by hand.
